FATAL MOTOR CRASH. SYDNEY, Nov. 17
A motor ear crashed into an embankment at Earl wood last night, somersaulting four times. Kenneth Bowden, aged 18, was killed. Four other youths were injured. CHILD ENDOWMENT . (Received this day at 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 18. It is now considered certain that the State Cabinet will retain the Child Endowment scheme but will draft a formula to provide for a basic wage for man and wife without children,'"'at about £4 weekly. The endowment fund will not be made a direct charge on industry as at present, but the fund may be built up bv weekly contributions from employers and employees > and a subsidy from the Government.
