OBJECT TO PROFICIENCY REGULATIONS.

On behalf of the South Island Federation of School Committees’ Association, the president, Mr AA T . Gibb, lias communicated with Rev. Clyde Carr, M.P. a member of the Select Committee of the House which is to inquire into various educational matters, asking him to protest* to the. Minister against the gazetting of non regulations governing the issue of proficiency certificates so late in the year, as it is considered that great injustice will be. done both to teachers and scholars. The Federation suggests that the enforcement of the regulations should he delayed until the examination of 1930.
