A notorious criminal, Ernest Martin, aged 23 years, was to-day sentenced to years’ imprisonment for robbery under arms, garroting and hou.sebrea.k-
Tlic police stated that Martin had confessed to three hundred crimes, of which eighty-two were safe robberies. Judge Curlcwis •described him' as a dangerous and useless sort of person.
