MAN’S HEAD FOUND

SYDNEY. November 15
Nnrrabi police recovered from a creek the head of a man whose dismembered body was found in a sack some days ago, and at Gelrinnes last night a man was charged with the murder at Narralii of Arthur Smith or Sorenson.
CHESS (111! AA IP lONSHIP. (Received this day at 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 15. The State Chess Championship was won by C. Purdy with 10.1- points out of a possible twelve. S. Crakanthorp was runner-up. Purdy, who is the son of Dr Purdy, won tlie New Zealand title in 1925 at the age of eighteen.
