REFRIGERATION

CARRIAGE OF MEAT,

[United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.]

(Received this day at noon.)

LONDON, Nov. 14

Dunlop Young, a veterinarian, in a paper before the Brit.sh Refrigerator Assn., said a recent tour of Australia and the Dominions had impressed on him that it was impossible to realise how we could exist without refrigerating. He was inclined to say that chilled meat could be brought from the Dominions. He was absolutely certain engineers would eventually bring chilled meat from‘Australia and New Zealand satisfactorily, if the meat were of the same quality as South American. and there was a sufficient quantity. Ships should load at the port nearest to Britain, proceed direct and disenarge at the first suitable port.
