INQUEST ON MOTORIST
WOMAN’S DEATH ACCIDENTAL.

* The adjourned inquest concerning the death of Mrs J. S. Smith, as the result of a motor car collision at the intersection of Queen Street and Worksop Road, on October 31st, was resumed to-day, before District Coroner E. G. Eton. The hearing occupied the whole day, no (fewer than fifteen witnesses giving evidence. The collision occurred in the evening about 8.45, between a large car and a light car, the latter turning into Worksop Road, and the former proceeding along Queen Street. Mrs Smith, the occupant of tlie light car, received serious head injuries, and died a few minutes later. The Coroner found, in effect, that Mrs Smith was accidentally killed, and that though there had been an error of judgment somewhere, there was no evidence of any gross carelessness on the part of either driver.
