COAL TROUBLE
THE STRIKE SETTLED. 1 At n meeting held at Blackball terday between representatives of the Coal Company and the Miners’ Union, the demands of the miners’ union were granted, the services of the two nonunionist engine drivers being dispensed • with by the company, and union labour being immediately placed in charge of the haulage engines and the generating plant of the colliery. It was then arranged that'the shift men should resume work to-day at the, mine, to effect necessary repairs, and the miners and truckers will recommence operations on Monday.
