THREE CANDIDATES

WELLINGTON, November 13

Hon. T. M. Wilford’s appointment as New Zealand High Commissioner ai London will necessitate his resignation from the Hutt seat. A bye-election for Hutt electorate will follow the resignation. Mr H. D. Bennett, who contested the Hutt seat in the year 1922, in the interests of the Reform Party, intends to he again a candidate, hut what party he will support is not yet stated. It is most probable, however, that the Reform Party will put up a candidate on this, occasion for Hutt. . .It is said to lie certain that the United Party will also have a candidate standing.

Mr Walter Nash was the Labour candidate at the last two elections. It is assumed that he will again receive the nomination of the Labour Party.
