JACK THE RIPPER
VICTIM IN GERA!AN CITY. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) . BERLIN, Nov. 5. In defiance of an army of police and detectives, who arc hunting Dusseldorf high and low, the mysterious murderer who is now known as “Jack the Ripper” (as cabled on October 15), has claimed another victim. She was a. young woman. When walking in a lonely lane, she.: was inssooed from behind. The man sprang on her, flourishing a' dagger. Then he nroduced a hammer, and he struck her several blows.
There is no doubt that the present outrage—which is the nineteenth since the outbreak in April last—is the work of the same man, because it occurred on the identical spot and the same methods were employed as in the first murder of the series.
In every case the murderer has been able to escape without lea\ mg a clue.
