The Legislative Council resumed at 2.30 p.m. Railways Authorisation Bill was put .through the remaining stages and passed. The Council rose at 4.33 p.m.
WELLINGTON, November 7. The Legislative Council met at 10.30 a.m. to-dav.
Rural Intermediate Credits Amendment bill, Taupiri Drainage and River District Bill, Counties Amendment Bill. Shipping and Seamen Amendment Bill, Products Lxport Amendment Bill, and Cinematograph Films Amendment Bill were received from the House and read a first time.
'Die Council adjourned at 10.50 until 2.30 p.m.
THE HOUSE. WELLINGTON, November 6. The House of Representatives resumed at 2.50 p.m. The I Glowing estimates were passed: Treasury Department, £39,914. Prime Minister's Department, £13.990.
Land and Income Tax Department, £63,981. Public Service Superannuation Fund .Account, £5,304, Department of External Affairs. £41,318.
The following hills were put through ,the remaining stages and passed:—
Rural Intermediate Credits Amendment Bill (Hon. G. W. Forbes). Taupiri Drainage and River District .Bill (Hon. P. A. de la. Perrelle). Counties’ Amendment Bill (Hon. de .la Perrelle). Shipping and Seamen Amendment .Bill (Hon. Cohbe). Products Export Amendment Bill .(Hon. Forbes). Cinematograph Films Amendment .Bill (Hon. Perrelle). N.Z. University Amendment Bill ' Hon. H. At mo ref and Destitute Persons Rest Homes Bill (Hon. A. J. .Stallworthy) were read a second time. Drainage and River Protection Amendment Bill was introduced by Governor-General’s message and read a first time.
The House rose at 11.8 p.m. till 11 a.m. next dav.
WELLINGTON, November 7. The House of Representatives met at 11 o’clock this morning. The Supplementary Estimates, Appropriation Bill and Transport- Department Bill were introduced by GovernorGeneral’s message. In the House of Representatives the Appropriation Bill and Transport Department Bill wore read a first time.
The House adjourned at 1 p.m
