N.Z. DINNER

FOR V.C. HOLDERS. m • • (By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, November 4. The Governor-General has invited seven holders oi the \ ictoria Cioss, resident in New Zealand, to dine with him at Government House on Saturdhy night, 9th November, on the occasion of the Prince of Wales’s dinner to the Y.C.’s of the Empire. The names off the seven are: Captain L. \V. Andrew (Wellington), Lieuts. R. S. Judson, D.C.M.M. (New Plymouth); S. Frick'leton (Wellington); C. R. G. Bassett (Paeroa),. and J. G. Grant (Hawera); Sergeant FI. -1- Laurent (Hawera); and Private J. Crichton (Auckland). It is announced that the Government will bear the expenses of their transport to Wellington, and that the visiting V.C. holders will be the guests of the Government at the Royal Oak Hotel during their stay in Wellington. After the dinner with His Excellency, the V.C.’s will attend the annual re-union of the Wellington Regiment, which will he held the same evening.
