AIR MAN PR OSEOUTED.

WELLINGTON, November 5

At the Eltham Court this morning, Captain MacGregor, the well known airman of Hamilton Airways, who did a lot of flying on Sunday in Taranaki lately, was convicted and fined twenty shillings and costs 10s shillings on a charge of working in view of a public place at his calling on Sunday, October 20 th.

•Mechanic Eric Cruickshank was charged with aiding and abetting MacGregor and was similarly fined.

Prior to the date of the offence, the Ministers in Eltham entered a protest to the Mayor against such flights and when, the police informed the airman that passenger carrying on Sunday was liable to prosecution, he replied he would take the consequences.
