BOXING
DONOVAN V* DOBLE. V TARANAKJ. MAN WINS. (By Telegraph— Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 1/ The boxing contest this evening at the Town Hall between Tommy Donovan, of Taranaki, and Doble, the 'A-yM' a han, proved an interesting anil exciting one. There was a very large attendance at the Town Hall, including Taranaki visitors. The bout went the full fifteen rounds and was fairly 'even, the decision going to Donovan. Tommy Donovan weighed 8.124 and Tommy Doble (Australia) 8.114.- It was a contest between a fighter and a boxer, the fighter being the winner. Many in the audience questioned the correctness of the decision.
