11AD10 EXHIBITION. B Telegraph-Press Assn., Copyright. AUCKLAND, October 30. The Auckland Radio Exhibition opened in the Town Hall to-night.' The Postmaster-General, Mr J. B. Donald, declared the exhibition open in a speech from Wellington, transmitted by long distance telephone, broadcast by Station IYA, and' picked up by receivers in the hall. Mr Donald announced that, following on requests made to him by a deputation in Auckland, he had decided to reduce tlie annual fee for amateur transmitting licenses from £2 5s to £1 10s, making'it the same as the receiving license fee. Bretnall, who was drowned at Ruakaka on Monday, was found early--this .morning on the beach seventy yards from the scene of .the fatality, life funeral this afternoon was’ largely attended by the Masonic 'fraternity, musical societies, and the general public. Sullivan, M.Pi, was concerned in a motor collision last even- 5 ing, the result of which, fortunately, was only, a damaged car. Mr Sullivan was driving westward' down Hereford Street towards the city,, being bn his way to catch the ferry train. On reaching Stanmore . road he collided with a two-seater car, driven by a young man named Jones. The front whpe.ls of Mr Sullivan’s car were thrown oat of,alignment, and the car had to be removed by service crane, Mr Sullivan proceeding to the . station in another car. Mr Jones’s car had its left running board badly buckled, and the driver received a small cut from broken glass.
