Like Kipling’s “Absent Minded Beggar,” the Rhineland occupying are apparently leaying a lot 'bf little things, behind them. The Radical newspaper “Weltbueline’ ’ estimates . that Britishers left 8,000 stranded babies, and alleges that they are systematically evading their obligations, in contradistinction to the French, who are voluntarily providing for their offsprings. The British United Press Berlin correspondent, however; was officially informed that British troops behaved more decently .than the French, who were most remiss. ' The most surprising allegation is the proportion of the number to United ,S,tates soldiers, with the worst record. Unofficial estimates suggest the total of the occupation babies is 15,000.
