MAKO SHARK CAUGHT
PILOT FISH ATTACHED By Telegraph—Per Press Associations WHANGAREI, -Oct. 25. Whilst fishing off the mouth of the Horahora River, on the East Coast, this week, Messrs Alias); brothers landed a mako weighing 5401b5. The fish was giving trouble on the lopg lines set for schnapper, and it became hooked three times, • but escaped. It would not leave the vicinity, and a shark line was baited and ■inrown out for it. It was .brought aboard after a fierce tussle. When landed, it had a small pilot fish attached to its snout. . , Constable Beasley is in possession of the pilot fish, and the fishermen have retained a very fine . set of shark’s jaws. ■' ____ Y
