“CULT OF THE NUDE”
BY BERLIN SOCIETY PEOPLE. [United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.] BERLIN, October 28. The cult of the nude has gained such proportions in Germany that a highclass club has been formed with its headquarters at Wollenbad, a famous swimming pool, where a moving wall at one end produces artificial surf. Between six and nine in the morning, these baths are closed to the public, and are open to the members of the . club, which consists of Berlin society men and women. There is at least one prince and several barons and baronnesses. They mingle with each other in the water, and out of it, with not the slightest embarrassment, and they take refreshments at tables clad in nothing but smiles. This club is merely one, of many similar in Berlin, the members off which regard themselves as serious devotees of a healthy “Nature” cult. It is registered with the police who have no occasion to interfere.
