Playing Davis, McConachv dominat-. ed the proceedings at both sittings, completely outpointing the Englishman. Me Con achy made 517, in a delighful exhibition, ending abruptly when he lost his opponent’s ball in the middle pocket,, and he was then compelled to leave, a double baulk. Davis was unable to find the touch of the strange table, which was proving a handicap. McConachy, in the evening took an unfinished' 502 716. He monopolised the table until the very end, though Davis scored breaks of 174 and 241. McConachy finally manoeuvred the balls into a good scoring position, and reeled off centuries until he had scored 684, when a* difficult masse canon resulted in liis downfall. Latest scores in the billiard matches are : Lindrum (playing) 2051; Smith 1601. The best breaks were: Smith successively 155, 83, 82. McConachy (to play) is 2736, and Davis is 744. The best breaks were: McConachy 716, 298, 684; Davis 174. 241.
