ENGLISH CRICKETERS
REACH AUSTRALIA; (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph .—Copyright.; PERTH, Qct. 29. The English cricket team has landed Here in the, pink of condition. Captain Gilligan said they all were looking forward eagerly to the visit to Aew Zealand,, the fame of which had constantly been pneached by Mr Bowley, as the result of his .previous visit The team was a well-balanced one, and included four of those chosen to represent England in Tests against South Africa—Duleepsinhji, Woolley. Bowley and Barratt. With one or two exceptions, it was a young side, am] though it included the smallest-English County cricketer, it averaged five P>ot eleven inches in height. The bowlers were principally fast, and medium to fast. It would he interesting to see how they will fare on Australian and New Zealand wickets. . The visitors had an enthusiastic reception. They were practising +,bicaiternoon for their opening match against Westralia to-momow. Gifligan is specially proud of the Colombo match, where they had the best attendance for any English game. Woolley is the onlv nlayer who was previously in Australia.
