PARIS, October 26. 111 an effort to stamp out rough play in the Rugby championship matches, the Pyrenees Rugby Committee is fining the clubs whose players are sent on' the field for foul play. The fines are' graded according to,the status of the clubs, the most prominent of which are mulcted in 50s for members’ misbehaviour. The fines are deductable from the gate receipts. The authorities are concerned about the growth of professionalism and roughness. The French Chamber 'of Deputies shortly debates the question of purifying the game.
