CHILD MISSING. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) , € GISBORNE, Oct. 24. Henry Foote aged six is reported missing. He left his mother on the Show Ground yesterday at 4.30. to buy an ice cream and there lias been no tidings since. .( STORM DAMAGE. GISBORNE, October 24. The storm played havoc at 'the Show grounds where a large.rimiriiher of tents and booths, not dismantled after 'the close of People’s Day proceedings, were blown down and .badly torn. Side-show campers were driven out of their tents during the night and had to take refuge in the grandstand. STORM SUBSIDES. GISBORNE, October 25.
The storm has subsided. The rivers reached a very high level, but no serious flood damage is reported. Newly shorn sheep suffered from the wintry blast and some substantial losses are reported. There is no change in the position of stranded steamer Kahika, which lies comfortably well up on the beach. No trace has yet been found of the missing boy 7, Harry Foote who was lost on the Showground on Wednesday.
