JUBILEE SHOW

POVERTY BAY A. and P. ASSN. (By Telegraph—Press Association). GISBORNE, Oct. 23. The two days’ „ übilee Show of the Poverty Bay A. and P. Association was Drought to a most successful conclusion to-day. Glorious weather was experienced until nearly five p’clock this evening, when slight rain fell. The function on both days was attended by record crowds, especially to-day, People’s Day, when the gate money paid by the public totalled £591. In addition to this, the A. and P. Association has a ! membership roll of 780, who, with their wives’^,and families, did not pass through thelpublie gates. The entries also record, numbering nearly 2,600 and the high standard of the stock, . produce, citrus firnits, and was freely commented on by visitors' from “all parts of the Dominion. Amopgst the visitors to the Show were Mr L. A. Paish (Br,tish Trade Commissioner) and General Sir Andrew Russell.
