(Received this day at 9.20 a.m.) HOBART, October 29. Too ill to attend the declaration of the poll yesterday, W. McWilliams, the victorious independent candidate for Franklin at the general elections, died last night. McWilliams voted against the Bruce Government when it was defeated.
