Following on' the shooting of John Smith, cabled this morning,' for which a youth has been arrested on a murder charge, Melbourne has , been shocked by two further shooting affrays. At Alphington, Charles Harrison, aged fifty years, shot dead his sou, Basil, aged twenty-five years, and wa/ arrested oh a charge of murder. At Richmond, a fusila.de of bullets was fired on a c-afe by a gang, apparently as the result of a grievance against one of the inmates. •
