Confidence in Wall Street was restored overnight and the market staged a good come-back, shares advancing from one to fifteen points in . many instances while others increased as' much as thirty points. The tickers caught up and the market seemed normal again at the close, principally encouraged by statements of Charles Mic-haell, of National City Bank and the Yale Professor, Irving Fisher. A Chicoutini (Quebec) message states: Ramsay MacDonald, wearing holiday attire, stepped from a. special train at noon to-day. The special train carried no other passengers, newspaper correspondents being left behind. The Premier desires a holiday absolutely free from official engagements and interviews. ! Mr MacDonald is the guest of E. A. Dubuc, M.P., of the Federal constituency ofChicoutini'.
