ROSS NEWS.

(From Our Own Correspondent). A very enthusiastic meeting was held at the Coronation Hall on Monday evening for the purpose of considering the matter of forming a home nursing class in Ross. The Mayor (H. Osmers, Esq.) presided over an attendance of between. 20 and 30 ladies and introduced Sister Christian, the instructress. Sister Christian addressed the meeting explaining fully the aims and objects of the work.

It was unanimously decided to establish a class and all present signified their willingness to join. A committee was set up consisting of Mesdames Pitt, O’Connell, J. Mineban. Peebles, and Miss M. Jones. Miss Harkness was appointed Secretary.

It was resolved to meet on Monday evening of each week except the first two lectures, which will be given on Thursday, 24th inst., and Wednesday, 30th inst.
