REEFTON FATALITY
MR W. COXALL FOUND WITH BROKEN NECK. An element of uncertainty surrounds the tragic death of Mr Walter Coxall, a, resident of the Tnangahua district. ■His body was discovered lying on the roadside just outside Reefton on Saturday afternoon,' the cause of death being a broken neck. Owing to the fact that there was no direct evidence on the spot as to how the fatality was caused, it was conjectured that the deceased was hit by a motor vehicle, but is is also possible that Mr Coxall may have fallen off a lorry or a car. The deceased was a son of Mr Coxall, senr., a well-known Waiuta miner. Capt. Coxall, head of the Reefton Fire Brigade, and a noted cyclist, is a brother of the deceased, who was a popular figure, and the news of his sudden demise caused a shock to his many friends.
