MISSING IN THE SNOWS
.Canadian millionaire. AND SEVEN AVTATORS. OTTAWA, October 17. The keenest anxiety . continues for the millionaire named Colonel McAlpine, and seven mates who are missing in two planes. They were lost six weeks ago in an uncharted, barren region of Northern Canada. t A dozen machines have lately been scouring - snowswept areas three hundred miles from. Hudson Bay. Five new machines were sent out to-day equipped with skis, and foui others will operate from Stoney Rapids and Cormorant Lake, the most northern outpost of Manitoba. The missing men are believed to have been forced down. They had several weeks’ food, but unless they are shortly found, they will probably shortly starve and freeze/to death.
