(By Telegraph—Frees Association). WANGANUI, Oft. 17. At Belmont Link to-day, Wanganui Golf Club Championships commenced in fine weather with a strong northwesterly wind. In the afternoon L. Cftthro (Castlediff) headed the list ot siteen qualifying for matdi play, with the best aggregate of 151, while D. C. sixteen qualifying for match play, with 154. The following will commence match play to-morrow morning for the championship: L. Cathro plays W. Lints, J. S. Harrison plays S. Powdrell, R. L. Me Niven plays 'J. Goss. F. S. Parkes plays J. Quin, I. Saunders plays C. N. Deighton, J. P. Mortland plays J. Harold, D. 0. Collins plays F. J- Christensen.
