SERIOUS MOTOR ACCIDENT. [By Telegraph, Per Press Association.j HASTINGS, Oct. 16. A serious motor accident occurred near Pakipaki this morning, when a car overturned. Air Harris, his wife and child, of Porangahau Road, Waipukurnu, were all injured, Harris himself very seriously. The sufferers were brought to Hastings Hospital. Details of the accident are not yet ascertainable. AUCKLAND PLANES. AUCKLAND, October 16. The three Motlv planes which took 1 art in tho Auckland Aero Club s tour travelled from Gisborne in three and a quarter hours, arriving at Auckland at 1.30 o’clock this afternoon. ALLEGED INDECENT ASSAULT. INVERCARGILL, Oct. 16. On charges of indecently assaulting two little girls, one seven years of aged, and the other twelve, and with wilful exposure, Thomas Nunn Keelde, aged 47 years, appeared before the Magistrate in the Children’s Court today.
Accused, who was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, pleaded not guilty, and reserved his defence.
ROBBED BRIDE-TO-BE,
PALMERSTON N., October 15
AATiile Aliss Emily AfacAulay, member of a well-known Palmerston North family, was showing her trousseau to a party of friends at her home at night, her room was entered and her purse removed from a drawer in her dressing-table. A purse .belonging to one. of the guests was also stolen, but a quantity of valuable jewellery lying on the top of the dressing-table was ignored. The burglary was a particularly daring one as it occurred in a room adjacent to that in which the bride-to-be and her guests were seated. The intruder had no difficulty in getting into the room as the large casement windows were wide open, but he must have moved very quietly as Aliss Nita MacAulav, who was in bed in the next room, did not hear a sound.

The Prime ATinister continues to fmprove in healln and to-day again took a motor drive in the sunshine. He is regularly seeing his Cabinet colleagues, and taking a keen interest in affairs. His strength .is/Jmilding up satisfactorily.; Under, these conditions Sir Joseph, guth equanimity his friends’ advice not to return to the parliamentary siffings for a few days, but lie states lie is looking forward to an opportunity of getting his taxation measures through the final stages.
