The South Sydney League footballers returned from a visit to Rotorua and met the Huntlv team at Huntly to-day. In fine weather, and with r hard ground the visitors won easily by 30 points to 3; Egan (2), Evers (2), A. O’Connor and Blair scored tries and Wearing kicked six goals. Paki scored a tn for Huntly. . South Sydney meets Mnrist in a return game at Auckland on Saturday. LEAGUE FOOTBALL. AUSTRALIANS WIN. LONDON. Oct. 16. The Australian league team defeated Leigh by 19—16. Leigh were leading at half-time by 13—0.
