(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) THE COUNCIL. WELLINGTON, October 17. In the Legislative Council yesterday the Land Laws Amendment Bill was reported from the Lands Committee without amendment. THE HOUSE. The House of Representatives devoted the day to local bills, eighteen of which were put through the remaining stages and passed. The House rose at 10.45 p.m.
