The first seizure of Chinese territory in the present Manchurian hostilities is officially reported. Ten Soviet aeroplanes and seven gunboats, after a bombardment, landed marines on Friday, and occupied Linjanshang, on the Amur River. Three Chinese gunboats were sunk. There were two hundred casualties.
