Fewer than two hundred holders of the Victoria Cross have been traced in connection with the dinner to be held on November 9th. It is feared that many V.C.’s will be deterred from attending by poverty. An anonymous donor has given GSO, and more if wanted, to help those qualified to attend. He also will provide railway fares and suits. The Prince of Wales has intimated that he will wear a lounge suit at the dinner.
