WOOL INDUSTRY

THE SERIOUS POSITION. (Australian Press Association) (Received this dnv at 10 a.tn.) BRISBANE, October 12. During the discussion upon the estimates in the Legislative Assembly, Premier Moore alluded to the serious position of the wool industry. He expressed a hope that an Empire-wide marketing scheme for wool would be evolved, bringing in Australia, South Africa. and New Zealand. He recognised that no scheme of organised marketing could be forced on Australian pastoralists but he was now in communication with the Graziers’ Associations throughout the Commonwealth and the Federal Ministry, suggesting that this problem should be taken up without delay in order to try to put the wool industry on its feet again.
