SPECIAL DUMPING CLAUSE v United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyngnt;. (Received this day at 11 a.m.) OTTAWA, Oct. 10. Air Culer (Minister of Revenue) announced to-day that a. special dump.ng clause is to be applied to goods entering Canada when the price was below the fair market price of the country producing them. It will become effective on the loth. October. He said in the past there had been a leeway of five per cent, before the clause was invoked. It was expected to have a farreaching effect in increasing protection for Canadian producers, the clause only applies when the same class of goods is produced in Canada. The regulation is still much less drastic than in the United States and applies only to reductions up to fifteen per cent, of fair market- value, whereas in the United States it goes to seventyfive per cent, reduction.
