AKAMURA FAT STOCK SALE. M. HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT. At Monday’s fortnightly sale at the above yards our entry consisted of 44 head of fat cattle and 13.5 fat sheep, which were submitted to , a good attendance of buyers. The total entry at the sale was again insufficient to meet the butchers requirements, and as a result prices for beef were extremely high, in some cases being well over 60s per hundred. The bulk of our entry consisted of light to medium weight heifers which sold from Cos' upwards; the entry of fat sheep ii.lfjp sold vyell. The following were our sales:—On account of T. Staines 10 fat wetners (shorn) at 34s fid, 31 at 32s 9d, 34 woolly wethers at 33/s fid, 28 at 36s 3d, 23 at 35s 3d, Bat 35s 3d; on account of W. R. Adamson (Matainui) 1 heifer at £ls- 10s, 2 at £l4 ss, 2 at £ls 7s fid, 2 at £ls 7s 6d, 2 bullocks at £l9 2s fid, 2 at £lB, 1 a,t £l9 2.s fid, 1 cow at £lB, 2 at £l4, 3 heifers at £ls 7s fid, 2 at £ls 2s fid, 1 heifer at £l7 ss, 2 at £ls, 3 at £ls 17s fid, 2 at £l6, 1 at £lB 2s fid, 1 heifer at. £lB 2s fid; on account of John Adamson (Harihari) 1 cow at £IC 15s, 1 at £l3; on account of H. N. Adamson 1 bullock at £l7 ss; on account of W. A. Jamieson (Koitcrangi) 2 cows at £T3, 2 at £ll /s fid, 2 heifers at £lO ss, 1 at £9 12s fid, 1 cow at £9 12s fid, 2 'runners at £8 ss, 1 cow at £l4 15s.
