FATAL WELSH FIGHT
RESULT OF FAMILY QUARREL, 'United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright). LONDON, October 7. A boxing contest at Blaonavon,. in South Wales, arising, according to an advertisement, tout of a family quarrel, resulted fatally. Walter Edwards, aged 21 years, a married man, during the final round, when leading on points, fell unconscious, allegedly after receiving a blow, and he died five hours later.
His opponent was a miner, aged 25, named Charles Redman. It is believed that the qaurrol arose out of a dispute between younger brothers, after which the elder brothers agreed to fight in a friendly lashion under the auspices of the Blaonavon Boxing Club. The,, referee and eye witnesses described the light as perfectly clean and well contested.
