(By Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, October 8. At the conclusion of Mr Bank’s evidence, Mr Vaile asked permission to put in a letter by Mr Parsons, an earlier witness, rebutting statements reflecting on his financial position by Mr H. Galvin, another witness. After some argument, it .was decided that the letter should not be read.
Charles Herbert, Lawson, stock inspector of the Department of Agriculture, declared that the, proposed route followed a wrong course and that the route should follow the eastern side of the Waikato River to Waiotapu. Mr Hanz P. Knutsen also gave evidence as to the route. , : ■• ■
