At Pakekakariki, the machines turned inland, and from Porirua followed the railway line. Perfect landings were made by all the machines. There was a large and representative attendance to welcome the flyers, including the Defence Minister, Mr Wilford, who in a short speech, congratulated the men. Sir James Allen said all looked forward to the tour developing what must come in New Zealand—a great air service. Mr Cowper replied.
