UNITED PARTY TO DISCUSS MATTER. (By Telegraph—Per press Association.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 8. As the sequel to a newspaper controversy between Mr A. E. Davey, the Chairman of the United Party Organisation, and Labour members of Parliament regarding the unemployed relief proposals, three members of the United Party Executive—Messrs McGrath, Lonergan and Perry—have today issued a statement to the “Evening Post” that this matter has never been before the Executive of the United Party, who are in no way responsible for what are obviously Mr A. E. Davey’s private views, and that a meeting of the Executive Committee will be held shortly to deal with the matter. HAMILTON REGISTRATIONS. HAMILTON, Oct. 8. Unemployed registration in the Hamilton district yesterday numbered 117, against 22 on the previous Monday.
