Cecil Huia Tyler, a young married man, pleaded guilty to having failed to account for {sums of £23 os 8d to Hart Pennington, Ltd., and seven charges of false pretences, involving £39 2s (id. He was given twelve months reformative to-day. The story told showed accuseil, after getting into difficulties ir Auckland, had been given repeated opportunities by Hart to make good but abused them all. A period of discipline was considered advisable Accused’s trouble was attributed to drink.

ON FAREWELL TOUR

BLENHEIM, October 8

Sir Charles and Lady Eergusson on a farewell tour of the Dominion reached Havelock this afternoon and were welcomed by Mr Buncombe, Chairman of. the Town Board. They are expected to motor on to Blenheim this evening.
