At the PoMce Court to-day the County Council sought to recover a heave traffic license foe from a farmer who had l>cen convicted of overloading a lorry, carrying only a light traffic ip.f.nse. q'he Magistrate nonsuited the plaintiff, holding the defendant had been punished and could be further punished if the by-law was broken again. Tile Magistrate suggested the case going to the Appeal Court. Costs were allowed against the County Council.
