These competitors were recalled from Tuesday. Dr Jarman state! that.,this was a very well contested section. Miss Bald made a difficult choice of song, and with any but a well-equiped vocalist the tragic story, with its reiterated musical, could easily become monotonous. The tone was controlled very well, and she interpreted well. Miss Ritchie had a voice of beautiful quality, but it was not always evenly controlled. She gave a nice, bright interpretation. Miss Howie had a voice of very pleasing quality, but it was not evenly controlled. It was not easy to maintain an even tone and clear enunciation in this selection. She gave a nice interpretation. The above concludes Miss Bald’s entries in all of which the young lad> has been most successful being placed in every event, most of which veie won.
