Heated references were made in the Assembly to the affairs of the Mount Isa Propritary Silver-Lead Ltd. Mr Kelso, a member, said, he considered the facts disclosed were one of the bigest scandals on rcord. The debate arose qn the second reading of the Bill to ratify an agreement giving the -Mining Trust Limited prospecting rights over 100,000 acres on the Burketown mineral field. Sensational allegations, mSrle by Air Kelso, involved the ex-Labour Premiers, Mr Theodore and Mr McCormick. He declared that the shareholders of Mount Isa made a profit of £IOO,OOO at the expense of the public. Records show that Messrs Theodore and McCormick, among others, were shareholders.
