PRISON ESCAPEE SURRENDERS. (Australian Press Aawciatiou). SYDNEY, ,Sept.. 27. • Norman Niass, who. with a companion. escaped from the Lithgow lock-up early in the week, has surrendered to the police. His companion, Thomas Aitken, was shot dead, by a constable in Wednesday night.
