ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE
W. JEFFRIES AND C.’S REPORT
Ihe total yarding at yesterday's fixture in these yards , was 85 head of cattle which was altogether too few lor the keen competition which prevailed throughout the sale. Consequently beef was very dear and reached as high as 60s per hundred and in no case did it go below 51s for the fixture. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as follows;
For W. Perry and Co. 2 bullocks at £29 ss, 2 at' £2O 2s 6d, 2 at £2O, 2 at £l9 15s, 2 at £l9 2s Gd, 2 at £l9. 2 at £lB 12s 6d, 2 at £lB 10s 2 at £lB, 2 cows at £l6 10s; for W. Olderog 2 store cows at £6; for Anderson Bros. 2 bullocks at £ls 2s 6,2 at £ll 7s 6d, lat £ll 7s 6d, 1 runner at £lO 15s, 1 at £9 1.2 s 6d, 1 cow at £ls, 1 at £ll, 1 at £l4 ss, 2 at £l2 ss, 1 heifer at £ll.

The wool sales have opened. The general level of prices quoted is on a par with those ruling in other markets during the past week. BRISBANE, September 23.
Prices for the opening of the wool sales of the season are on a par with those ruling in Sydney last week.
