ARAHURA FAT STOCK BALE.
Messrs M. Houston' and Co. report: Our entry at yesterday’s sale at the above yards consisted of 51 head of fat cattle which were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was exceedingly keen and prices realized were the highest recorded at the yards for some years, especially for heifer beef, which towards the close of the sale was selling at 60s per hundred, the average price for ox beef being 58s per hundred.
We sold as follows: On account of Messrs F. G. Williams and Sons (Weheka) 3 bullocks at £lB 2te 6d, 2 at £lB, 3 at £l7 15s, 1 heifer at £ll 7s 6d, 2 at £l3 10s, 1 bullock at £22 10s, 2 cows at £l4 os, 2 heifers at £l2 15s, 2 bullocks at £l6 15s, 2 heifers at £l6, 2 bullocks at £.lB os, 2 at £lB 7s '6d, 3 at £l9, 2 heifers at £l"4 15s, 3 cows at £ls 10s, 1 hullo k £23 7s 6d, 1 at at £ls, 1 at £ls 2s 6d, 2 at £l4, 2 cows at £l6 15s, 2 bullocks at £l9 2s 6d 2 heifers at £ls 7s 6d, 1 sucker at £l4 12s 6d, 1 heifer at £l6 15s, 1 at £l7, 1 bullock at £l9. . On account of Messrs Gibb Bros, 1 bullock at £l9.
