TWO MEN DROWNED

(Received this day at 9.25 a.m.) BRISBANE, Sept. 24.

A drowning tragedy is reported from Cairns. Four men were thrown into the water when a big wave capsized a fishing boat. Two of them Ronald Brown and Vincent Edrington wore drowned. Michael Heiso swam three miles, through shark infested waters, to the mainland and the fourth named Cook was rescued by a lugger. He was in the water nearly three hours and made a gallant attempt to iassist Edrington. who evontuailly became exhausted and sank.
