» REDMOND V. MILLER, (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, Sept. 22 . At the Sydney Stadium last night, Pat Redmond, the Irish giant, knocked out Blackie Miller, the former Australian heavyweight champion, in the fourth round of a scheduled fifteen round bout. Miller was twice warned in the third round, owing to his carelessness as to where his blows landed. The management has decided to withhold Miller’s share of the gate money, pending an inquiry into liis conduct in the third round, and also because it is alleged that he illegally took the count in the fourth round.

At Chicago, Griffiths, who scaled 1.82 pounds gained the verdict over Geo, Cook (190 pounds), by a technical k.o. in the fourth round. The end came in the fourth round'; when Griffiths attacked the Australian with a series of rights to the head and the solar plexus. Then,. with a left hooked, he dropped Cook, who attempted to rise, but the Australian’s seconds would not allow him to continue.
